Don's involvement in sports while growing up was the catalyst for his career. After graduating from high school, he studied at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta and graduated with a Diploma in Athletic Therapy. After working in a private practice physiotherapy clinic for a couple of years, he was accepted into the Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta, where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999.

After graduating, Don took over the practice where he first fell in love with physiotherapy, Bowmont Physical Therapy in Calgary. Not long after, he fell in love again and moved to Wasaga Beach with his new wife Catharine. He opened Body 'n Balance Physiotherapy in 2005 and has enjoyed watching the practice grow.

Don's treatment philosophy is to treat everyone as an individual. He believes it is important for patients to have a good understanding of their injury or impairment and therefore takes the time to explain anatomy, X-ray and MRI reports, assessment findings. Don has taken continuing education in manual therapy and acupuncture. He has a passion and special interest in running and running injury prevention. He enjoys competing in trail running, half and full marathons. When not running races, you can find him running after his two amazing children, Aurora and Gavin.
